One answer will cover all your questions: Turn to God and fill your consciousness with the realization of His perfection. Let your weakness be dissolved in the worshipful thought of His strength. It is not necessary to explain things to God, for He knoweth your need before you speak, and is more ready to give than you are to ask. When you meditate, turn away from everything except the one absorbing thought of His overshadowing Presence. In this way you will become receptive, and healing will flow through body, mind, and soul.

The best course is to pray: “Lord, make me happy with awareness of Thee. Give me freedom from all earthly desires, and above all give me Thy joy that outlasts all the happy and sad experiences of life.” -

When we serve others, we serve ourselves. Do not think, ‘I will help others’ - think rather, ‘I will help my own, my world, because I cannot otherwise be happy

A good habit is your greatest friend–a bad habit, your mortal enemy. Be careful about the repetition of an action. It will become a habit before you realize it. Habit is second nature. But it can be changed by persistent good action.

If you want to be sad, no one in the world can make you happy. But if you make up your mind to be happy, no one and nothing on earth can take that happiness from you.

The demand for the Lord’s reply should be strong; a half-believing prayer is not sufficient. If you make up your mind: “He is going to talk with me”; if you refuse to believe differently, regardless of how many years He has not answered you; if you go on trusting Him, one day He will respond. -

“The spiritual eye with its three lights, or three different rays — one within the other like an extending telescopic lens — has all-seeing spherical vision. Through the gold ray, the deeply meditating yogi beholds all matter and the mass of radiation permeating the universe. Penetrating the blue light, the yogi will realize the…Kutastha or infinite intelligence of God…which is present in all creation. Piercing the tiny five pointed white star, the yogi experiences Cosmic Consciousness — the transcendent consciousness of God that underlies all creation and that is also beyond the realms of manifestation in Infinitude.” —

“When you do not crave attention from anyone but are only interested in true souls who love you, when you understand the meaning of true friendship, when you cannot be moved by words of flattery but only by the love of true hearts — then you know the love that God seeks from you and gives to you.” —

“All the evils and miseries of human existence begin when the soul forgets to use the body and the senses as its instruments and servants. When the soul becomes identified with the body, its consciousness is turned senseward, away from the inner intuitive perception of truth. After once attaining ecstasy and communion with God, all devotees must try their uttermost to be conscious of the divine state even during the egoistic or human state. This steady centering of the consciousness will preclude all confusion between good and bad actions.”

“Never consider yourself unfortunate because of difficult circumstances. You may be on the brink of freedom, even though you are suffering. So keep on. Someday, when you find God, He will explain to you the book of life. Do not lose faith in Him.” -
